Islamic Ethics and Morals

Islamic ethics and morals are a central part of Islamic teachings and practices. They are based on the principles of justice, compassion, kindness, honesty, humility, and responsibility. Islamic ethics and morals are derived from the Qur’an, the Hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him), and the examples set by the Prophet and his companions.

Some of the key ethical and moral values in Islam include:

  2. Adl: Justice, fairness, and equality in all dealings and interactions.
  3. Ihsan: Doing good, being virtuous, and striving for excellence in all aspects of life.
  4. Sabr: Patience, perseverance, and endurance in the face of difficulties and trials.
  5. Taqwa: Piety, mindfulness, and fear of Allah (SWT).
  6. Akhlaq: Good manners, conduct, and etiquette towards others.
  7. Amanah: Trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity in all dealings.
  8. Hayaa: Modesty, humility, and respect for oneself and others.
  9. Husn al-Dhann: Having good opinions of others, and avoiding suspicion and backbiting.
