Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq & An-Nas
Recite the three final Surahs three times when morning comes and three times when evening comes.
A small, source-labelled collection of daily adhkar. Repetition counts appear only where the cited narration states them; otherwise the page deliberately leaves the count open.
Some remembrances have a stated count, some do not. The counter buttons below are simply a private on-device aid for narrations that specify a number — they do not create a new religious prescription.
These narrations explicitly connect the remembrance to morning/evening or day/night.
Recite the three final Surahs three times when morning comes and three times when evening comes.
Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa ismihi shayʾun fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samāʾi wa Huwas-Samīʿul-ʿAlīm.
Meaning: In Allah’s name, with whose name nothing in the earth or heaven can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Meaning: A comprehensive plea that acknowledges Allah as Lord, His blessings, one’s own sin, and asks Him alone for forgiveness.
The narration speaks of saying it during the day or at night with firm faith; this page does not invent a repeat count that the narration does not state.
A compact set drawn from Sahih Muslim. For the wider collection already on the site, open the full post-prayer guide.
Astaghfirullāh — three times.
Allāhumma Antas-Salāmu wa minkas-salām, tabārakta dhal-jalāli wal-ikrām.
The narration then completes one hundred with the declaration of Allah’s oneness, sovereignty and praise.
Sahih Muslim reports saying SubḥānAllāh one hundred times as a way of earning one thousand good deeds or having one thousand sins erased.
SubḥānAllāh · Glory be to Allah.
The count of one hundred comes directly from the cited narration; this is not being assigned to a particular prayer time.
These bedtime practices are individually sourced; they are shown as separate options rather than invented into one compulsory sequence.
Cup the hands, recite the three final Surahs, blow lightly and wipe over the body as described in the narration; repeat three times.
The well-known narration in Bukhari states that reciting Ayatul Kursi at bedtime is followed by Allah’s protection through the night.
Bismika amūtu wa aḥyā.
Meaning: In Your name I die and I live.
A short Prophetic remembrance reported in Sahih al-Bukhari.
Alḥamdu lillāhilladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr.
Meaning: Praise belongs to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.
Sahih Muslim records the takbir and travel supplication when the Prophet ﷺ mounted for a journey.
The same report also gives additional words for returning from the journey. Open the source for the complete narration.
Step by Step Salah deliberately keeps the collection smaller while its Arabic, context, repetition counts and source links are checked. Where scholars differ over grading or application, the site should say so rather than flatten the difference.
